How is this different from searching ClinicalTrials.gov directly?
ClinicalTrials.gov keeps a full version history for every trial and offers RSS feeds for new and updated studies. What it does not do is compare versions across a set of sponsors or diseases and tell you which field moved and from what value. DataLookout does that comparison for your watchlist every morning.
What is change detection?
DataLookout takes daily snapshots of the trials it tracks and compares thirteen fields on each one. When a trial changes status, advances phase, updates enrollment, moves a completion date, modifies a primary endpoint, changes its interventions, adds sites, gains a stated reason for stopping, or publishes its results, the change is recorded with the old and new value and graded critical, notable, or minor.
What is Trials at Risk?
Trials at Risk flags the active trials on your watchlist showing warning signs: a primary completion date pushed out by 30 or more days, enrollment cut, or a primary endpoint changed. Trials with several signals rank highest. Free accounts see the top trial; Starter and Pro see the full list.
Will I be notified about new trials, not just changes?
Yes. When a sponsor on your watchlist registers a new trial on ClinicalTrials.gov, or a new sponsor appears in a disease you watch, it appears in your next email digest as a New Trial entry, separate from changes to existing trials.
